Thus has met one of the objectives contained in the current Programme Management Team ETSIA. The Director of the ETS Agricultural Engineering Rosario Sierra de Grado was contacted at the time with the Director of the Prevention of Occupational Risks of the University of Valladolid M ª Dolores Miñambres del Moral, communicating their desire to prepare the simulacrum in that building on campus. Subsequently, M ª Dolores Miñambres contacted the Professor of the Faculty of Labour of the subject of Occupational Health and Safety M ª Piedad Romero López-González, in order to encourage students to participate as observers to the drill. Given the importance of training to perform this function, on March 15 Miñambres Dolores gave a talk to this group of student volunteers, about emergencies and how to act as observers. Like other centers at the University of Valladolid, ETS Agricultural Engineering has its own Emergency Plan. This Plan defines the sequence of actions to be developed for the initial control of emergencies that may occur and seeks to respond to potential situations that could eventually get produced in the center or residence in question. The simulation exercise is a good example of this. For the Emergency Plan is effective whole school staff should participate in the work of prevention for the emergencies are developed, as has happened in the simulation. Thus, observers gathered at the end of it, with school management and the Director of the Prevention Service, the result has been positive. Everything went as expected and has not detected any major incident. This is an example of the importance of prevention of occupational hazards. Therefore, the University of Valladolid committed to the challenge of efficient management that has taken in its quality plan, together with reasons of social, ethical, legal and economic has taken a risk prevention policy in accordance with the principles

Consequently all university employees and other people within the university community, are committed to incorporate preventive management in their daily activities and are taking advantage of synergies with the quality plan and sustainable development of the University and the information, consultation and participation of staff at all levels and sectors of the university, which are considered essential for continued improvement in preventive action.
In light of these principles the University of Valladolid has taken a series of commitments
as to develop a culture of prevention at the University based on the consideration of people The main value, environmental friendliness and value for money, achieve a high level of safety and health at work, complying at least with the rules on Occupational Risk Prevention, develop, implement and maintain a Management System Risk Prevention integrated into all activities of the University, for the continued improvement of working conditions, so that in any activity are neglected preventive aspects, security and / or health, enhance the allocation of resources to develop this preventive policy in all activities of the University, promote the integration of external entities that provide services in the facilities of the University, as well as suppliers, commitment to continuous improvement of working conditions, and disseminate this policy to all members of the university community.
