Madrid EFE, May 5 (EFE) .- The Secretary of State for Employment, Mari Luz Rodriguez, moved today that the Labour Ministry is finalizing a national plan, including specific courses on the prevention of occupational risks in technical university.
After his speech at the Second European Conference on Safety and Health in Construction, said Rodriguez told Efe that the plan, developed in collaboration with unions and employers, and is "practically finished" and expected to be approved at the next National Council for Safety and Health at Work.

With this initiative the Government seeks to promote the entry into the education system in the prevention of occupational hazards, "not only as a value, but also specific content, mainly in technical and engineering university and architecture, but also in vocational (FP).

The goal, according to Rodriguez, is "radiate" the security value to the education system, because "providing training today, tomorrow will prevent accidents."

Speaking at the symposium, the Secretary of State stressed that in the last year the incidence of accidents has fallen 8% on average in all sectors and 7% in construction, but said "much remains to be done."

Rodriguez refused to be "demonized" the building and he attributes the crisis and unemployment, when this sector is owed "the highest economic growth in the last fifteen years" and stood at over 60,000 million euros its contribution the pension reserve fund Social Security.
