Lufthansa will become the first airline in the world to use biofuel for 6 months, approximately 1,400 flight test in four daily tours of the Airbus-A321 from Hamburg Frankfurt. this route was chosen between the two cities in Germany because both ports have proper tanks to store this kind of fuel.
To test flights, one of the A321 will supply turbines with a mixture 50% regular kerosene Jet A-1 and the remaining half biosynthetic fuel.
